Whatever you need to send to Nigeria, we ship it — by air or sea, door to door, to all 36 states.
We ship cargo to Nigeria from anywhere in England — by air in 7 working days from £4.80/kg, or by sea in 4–6 weeks from £2.80/kg. Barrels, boxes, parcels, containers and vehicles, collected from your door and delivered to all 36 states.
From a single box to a full container, we handle cargo to Nigeria for families and businesses across England. Personal effects, clothing, food and household goods, electronics, documents, commercial stock and vehicles — if it can legally be shipped, it is probably something we move every week.
You choose air for speed or sea for value. We handle everything after that: collection from your address, the shipping itself, customs clearance on arrival, and delivery to the recipient’s door anywhere in Nigeria.
What we ship
The everyday traffic on this corridor is more varied than people expect. In a typical week we move:
- Personal effects and household goods — the contents of a room, a kitchen or a whole home
- Food and provisions — garri, beans, spices, tinned goods and dried fish, usually by barrel
- Clothing, shoes, fabric and aso-ebi for family occasions
- Electronics, laptops, phones and appliances
- Documents — passports, certificates, contracts and property papers
- Vehicles — cars, 4x4s, vans and motorcycles
- Commercial stock for businesses importing into Nigeria
Air or sea?
Air freight takes 7 working days and costs from £4.80/kg — £5.50/kg if we deliver to a Lagos door. It suits anything urgent, valuable or fragile — documents, electronics, gifts with a date attached.
Sea freight takes 4–6 weeks and costs from £2.80/kg, or from £120 per barrel. It suits anything heavy or bulky: barrels of food, furniture, household goods, vehicles.
Plenty of customers split the two — the laptop and the documents by air, the barrel by sea. If you are unsure, our cost estimator prices both side by side for what you are actually sending.
Where we collect from
We collect across six English regions: London, the West Midlands, the East Midlands, the South East, the East of England and the South West. Between them those regions are home to more than 219,000 Nigeria-born residents — over 80% of the Nigerian community in England and Wales.
Our base is in Dagenham, East London, in the middle of one of the densest Nigerian communities in the country. Tell us your postcode when you ask for a quote and we will confirm collection for your area.
Where we deliver
All 36 states. Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt are the routine destinations, but we deliver door to door nationwide — Ibadan, Kano, Benin City, Enugu, Kaduna and everywhere between.
Transit times vary by state and by current port conditions. We quote a realistic range rather than a date we cannot guarantee, and we tell you if congestion is likely to affect your shipment.
What it costs
Air cargo carries a £20 handling fee, paid here. Sea cargo carries a ₦5,000 handling fee instead, paid in Nigeria when it is delivered — the only charge at that end, and one you know about now. Beyond that, the quote we agree before collection is the price you pay.

Common questions
How much does it cost to send cargo to Nigeria?
Air freight starts from £4.80/kg to Lagos (£5.50/kg delivered to the door) and sea from £2.80/kg, with barrels at a flat £120. Air carries a £20 handling fee here; sea carries a ₦5,000 handling fee paid in Nigeria on delivery. Your exact price depends on weight, size, service and destination — ask us and we will quote it before anything is collected.
How long does cargo to Nigeria take?
Air freight is typically 7 working days door to door; sea freight is typically 4–6 weeks including clearing and delivery. Lagos ports can add delay in peak season, and we will tell you if that is likely rather than promising a date we cannot hold.
Do you collect from my address?
Yes — across London, the West Midlands, the East Midlands, the South East, the East of England and the South West. Give us your postcode with your quote request and we will confirm collection arrangements and timing for your area.
Which parts of Nigeria do you deliver to?
All 36 states, door to door. Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt are the most common destinations, but we deliver nationwide including Ibadan, Kano, Benin City, Enugu and Kaduna.
What can I send?
Personal effects, clothing, food and household goods, electronics, documents, commercial stock and vehicles. Some items are prohibited by Nigeria Customs — cooking oil, retail-pack soap and common tablets among them — so check anything you are unsure of with our items checker before packing.
Do you handle customs clearance?
Yes, clearance is part of our door-to-door service. What we need from you is accurate information about the contents and values — nearly every clearance delay traces back to a contents list that did not match the shipment.
How do I pay?
Directly with us once your quote is agreed. No payment is taken on this website, and the agreed quote is the final price.
Are you a registered UK company?
Yes. GBAS Worldwide Ltd is a UK-registered company (No. 16358607) based at 105 Frizlands Lane, Dagenham RM10 7HL. You are dealing with an accountable UK business, not an intermediary.
